Playa Del Carmen 2009
Trip for GU15 Real California FC Girls

On August 2, 2009 the Real California FC GU15 team took a trip to Playa Del Carmen about 35 miles south of Cancun, Mexico. The team stayed at the Iberostar Tucan resort in Playacar. The beautiful resort offered tons of daily activities but the girls had the most fun spending time with each other in the large pools or hanging out on the beautiful beach (the water was amazingly clear).  The trip was full of highlights like climbing the large pyramid in Coba and going swimming in a cenote (underground water hole) on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the team played a game against a strong U18 team. They played them tough until the last 25 minutes of the match and ended up losing the game. It was very cool to see the girls in the local newspaper the next morning.  On Thursday, the team visited  Xel Ha (Ecological water park) where the girls had the opportunity to swim with dolphins, go snorkeling, jump off large rocks, and float down a lazy river. Friday and Saturday, the girls spent time shopping in Playa Del Carmen.  All in all, the trip was a great bonding experience for the players, coaches, and parents. The team can't wait until next summer!!!

France 2007
Program for GU10 Real California FC Girls

________________

Our illustrious French national, Christelle Morere, took her U10 Girls' Team to France during the summer of 2007. The team spent four days sightseeing in Paris, and then took the TGV (very fast fast train: 300 KM/h) into the South of France for soccer activities.

The team training included two practices at Gignac, a small village close to Marseille. Bruno Bini, who coached the GU19 French National Team to a Euro Championship in 2004, coached the first session, and Pascal Bouillon coached the second session. Bini and Bouillon are the Technical Directors for the Mediterranean League, Bini for the men and Bouillon for the women.

The Real Californial FC Girls played two matches, the first at Nice versus Monaco OS (GU11), and the second at Marseille versus Celtic of Marseille (GU11).

During their time in Marseille, the girls spent a day visiting the city and touring the stadium where the professional team plays. The team had training sessions at the Formation Center of OM with the professionals (Olympique de Marseille). OM is the only team in France who won the Champions League in 1993.

Merci beaucoup

Mexico 2006
Training for BU17 Real California FC Boys in Guadalajara, Mexico

“This was no summer camp. We trained hard, worked hard, away from home for over 4 weeks, in a different country and culture. The players’ level of commitment and passion to excel says a lot of their character and I am proud of all of them”
Ryan Asanuma Midfielder/Forward

This past summer our BU17 Black team coached by Rick Santoyo was fortunate to spend the entire month of July in Guadalajara, Jalisco in Mexico. Eighteen top 16 year old soccer players from eleven high schools from Santa Barbara to Van Nuys were received by Luis Flores manager for Club Atlas FC third division team and talent scout for Club Atlas and former player of that team. Luis was gracious enough to extend his hospitality and let everyone stay in his Academy in Tlaquepaque, a neighborhood of Guadalajara known for its arts and crafts.

The boys took part in two a day training sessions during the week with the third division Atlas team and played games on the weekends having Mondays off only. They played about 10 different teams from Acapulco, Guerrero to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, all against 18 year old division teams.
