Real's June Team Camp

The "Real" Way Our first annual pre-season Team Camp was held at Freedom Park June 23-27. Our second camp is scheduled for July 14-18. Our Team Camp allows the teams and club to get started out together and build bonds as a club of coaches, players and teams. The coaching staff evaluates players, focuses in on conditioning and fitness, speed and agility, technical skills, team structure, and interclub scrimmages.

The Team Camp runs from 9am to 12pm with an additional hour during the week for each team to shoot on the team's goalkeeper, goalkeeper training and making walls for set pieces.

Special guest and soccer legend, Eric Wynalda, demonstrated curving the ball on set pieces.

Five players were chosen for a contest of shooting at the cross bar and 3 out of 5 were successful at their frist attempt. Congratulations Joshua Duimovich BU15, Amber Mulligan GU11, and Tyler Klauza BU15. Eric was amazed by the talent shown at our camp.

Players were excited to meet and play with Eric Wynalda. Signatures by a professional soccer player were a highlight of the camp. Eric signed balls, shirts, shoes and even a forehead.

MINI KICKERS  AGES 3-5: A fun program for beginners designed to introduce the game to the smallest kicker with little or no experience, while creating a love for the game. Classes consist of constant ball work through fun games, races, and contests. 
MEETS 1 DAY PER WEEK.
Choose your day Monday-Friday
3 yr olds from 9:00-10:00am
4-5 yr olds from 10:00-11:00am or from 1:30-2:30pm

SKILLS SCHOOL AGES 6-12: Our expert staff will challenge your child to reach their full potential while covering all the important aspects of the game, including passing, dribbling, receiving, shooting and turning.  Each session will also include small-sided games. 
CLASS MEETS 1 DAY PER WEEK.
Choose your day Mon, Wed, Fri from 6:30-7:30pm

FINISHING AND SHOOTING AGES 6-12: The art of scoring requires a great deal of technical and mental skill, and both will be taught in these sessions.  Players will learn proper shooting technique through game-related drills to sharpen their skill in and around the goal.

Real's "Skills Skool" by Former Professional Player
JOEY KIRK

Looking for the opportunity to improve your game? Here's your chance. Every Friday at Imation, Camarillo, Joey Kirk, a career professional and former US National Team Member, will teach Real's "Skills Skool" to increase individual knowledge of the game, through advances in technical ability. Players should expect to learn a variety of techniques to use in 1 v. 1 situations including fakes and feints created by some of the worlds most famous players. "Skills Skool" is for players U9-12.

Sessions are on-going, every Friday from 4:45 - 6:00 p.m. at Imation, Camarillo. 
Cost: $45 for 4 sessions; $80 for 8 sessions; $150 for 16 sessions (must be paid at first session). Friday sessions are filling up quick, reserve your dates now by e-mailing realcaliforniafc@verizon.net.  Include players name, contact information and dates attending.
