REAL CALIFORNIA FOOTBALL CLUB AND
EAGLES SOCCER CLUB TO MERGE

Real California Football Club is very pleased to announce that they have entered into a merger agreement with the Eagles Soccer Club.   http://www.eaglessc.com/
The merger will take place on March 1st, 2010.

A majority vote by the Board of Directors of Real California FC decided that the merger with the Eagles Soccer Club would be advantageous for Real’s families, players, staff and the community.

With the addition of the Real teams moving to the Eagles Soccer Club, the Eagles will become a larger club which will give them the ability to make an impact on more players.  This merger of the two clubs shall also unite some very hard working, passionate people in the soccer community.

Home fields for the Eagles Soccer Club for the 2010-2011 season will be at the NEW Village at the Park Sports Complex located at the base of the freeway grade in Camarillo.  Real California FC would like to thank the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District staff for all the hard work that they have contributed in order to get this new sports complex built.

Real FC Academy Coach Tim Kelly and his U9 girls won the Islands Classic Tournament this weekend in Camarillo, CA.  The girls won the tournament with 3 wins and 1 tie, and only allowed 2 goals the entire tournament!  Ali and Bella, Real's goalies, did an outstanding job keeping the opponents' balls out of their nets.  Real's extraordinary defense was anchored by Solana, Kelly, Kaitlyn, and Veronica.  Heidi, Brooke, and Delaney controlled the midfield and allowed Madison to work her magic as striker.  The girls' parents were extremely proud of the team's determination and unselfish play.  Congratulations on the win girls, you earned it!

Pegasus Cup GU10 Champions
GU10 Real California FC Academy

Real California FC U10 Academy team won the prestigious Pegasus Cup 2009 in San Diego on June 29th.  Winning the Gold Bracket, the team went 2-0-1 in pool play surrendering only one goal.  The first game on Saturday was played against feisty Celtic Hoops with the effort ending in a 2-0 win.  The afternoon found the team playing the Long Beach Speed-Demons  and after a hard fought battle, the game resulted in a 1-1 tie.  Needing a win or tie to proceed to the Semi-Final round, the team pulled together on Sunday morning and beat the SD United Romero team 1-0.  This made them the winner of the bracket and had them facing Chelsea SC Blue for a place in the final.  This team and Real were quite familiar facing off the last two years in League Cup with Real coming out on the winning end of each contest.  Sunday afternoon would prove to be the best team effort thus far of the weekend with Real going on to win 3-0, behind goals from Karisma Carmichael, Kiara Pickett and Jordyn Geller and sealing a date in the Finals with West Coast FC.

The Championship was most definitely a team effort all weekend and the girls finally got to hold up the trophy they had so badly wanted.   The defense anchored by sweeper Tara McKeown, Arielle Dimalante, Mia Jordan, Kobie Jimenez and Sadie Lutz played inspired soccer with goalie Trysten Myers making key saves.  Center midfielders Courtney Worstell and Alea Hyatt won key balls with great passing to strong midfielders Karisma Carmichael, Azelina Fontenot, Jordyn Geller, Daniela Helsdon and Sammy Slater.  Forwards Maya Hutchinson and Kiara Pickett controlled the action upfront with great speed and passing as well.
